We created this brand for mechanics, engineers, technicians, builders, fixers, makers, and everyone else who gets suspiciously excited when someone says, “I can't figure out what's wrong with this thing.”
Around here, competence and sarcasm tend to come as a package deal.
WHY TORQUE & SNARK EXISTS
The world doesn't need another generic T-shirt with a wrench slapped on it.
We wanted something that actually felt like the people wearing it: practical, clever, slightly sarcastic, and familiar with the phrase “that should hold.”
Our designs are inspired by the stuff that happens in real garages, workshops, engineering departments, job sites, and weekend projects.
Missing 10mm sockets.
Impossible tolerances.
“Temporary” repairs that become permanent.
Tools apprentices definitely need to go find.
And projects that require three hardware-store trips despite careful planning.
If you've done the job, you'll get the joke.
THE SHIRTS
We use Gildan Softstyle® 64000 tees because a good joke doesn't make up for an uncomfortable shirt.
They're lightweight, soft, easy to wear, and made from ring-spun cotton.*
Our designs are DTG printed for a soft feel without turning the front of your shirt into body armor.
In other words:
Good shirt. Good print. Questionable advice.
Fiber content varies by color.
MADE TO ORDER. ON PURPOSE.
We're a small, growing brand, not a warehouse filled with mountains of unsold shirts.
Your tee is printed when you order it.
That means we're not producing thousands of shirts hoping somebody eventually buys them. It also lets us keep experimenting with new designs, bad ideas, and jokes that probably sounded better next to a toolbox.
It may not be the fastest way to make a T-shirt.
We think it's a smarter one.

We're new.
We're not going to tell you we've sold 50,000 shirts when we haven't.
We're not going to invent five-star reviews.
And we're definitely not going to pretend Torque & Snark was founded in a legendary machine shop in 1978.
We're building this brand one design and one customer at a time.
What we can promise is simple:
We'll take the products seriously.
We just won't take ourselves too seriously.

Would someone who actually works with this stuff wear it?
If the answer is no, it goes back to the drawing board.
No generic tough-guy slogans.
No random flames because apparently everything involving a wrench needs flames.
Just good-looking gear built around the humor, frustrations, skills, and questionable decisions that come with knowing how things work.
